Blue And White Decorating Ideas

I cannot wait to show you a makeover I just finished of the sitting room in my bedroom.

It all started with a mirror and ended with blue and white and yellow.

Don't you love a makeover story that starts like that?

See I've challenged myself to take pictures of my outfits every day. In an effort to use more of what I have and to maximize my closet, I'm trying out a new app that helps you put outfits together. It's called Smart Closet and you upload what's in your closet and it organizes it for you.

But to do that?

You need pictures.

And to take pictures?

You need a mirror.

A really big oversized mirror that allows you to get the entire outfit in the frame. And in amazing news? I found this one. It's 27″ wide by 70″ long and it's so pretty and the PERFECT size for outfit taking.

And just when I loaded the mirror in the cart and was about to head home?

I turned around and saw THIS.

THIS RUG.

Now you if you've met me for more than a hot minute, you know how much I LOVE BLUE AND WHITE.

From the top of my head to the bottom of my toes.

Which are currently standing on this blue and white bit of amazingness.

The blue and white rug which matches perfectly with this floral pillow.

I already showed y'all this pillow at the beach house.

But I LOVE IT SO MUCH that I had to get another one for home.

The floral pillow which matches perfectly with these yellow striped pillows that I found.

And the best part?

They are reversible.

The other side is yellow and white stripe.

And they are under $13.

I almost never use yellow in decorating, but they were so cute I couldn't help it.

And the yellow was so cute I found this square pouf for the corner of the room and these yellow pillows for the bed.

They look so high end and each of the four corners has a tassel.

I also found these gray and white baskets to organize the bookshelves in the sitting area around the television.

They are the perfect size for holding books and papers and other supplies.

And they help keep the bookshelf looking neat.

And just I was headed out the door?

I found the CUTEST little white planters.

They have a hole at the bottom for drainage and they are curved inside so you can fit even more plant in.

And now?

I brought it all home and put it all together.
